Detection for Moving Target Based on Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar

This paper firstly analyzes the property of the low frequency electromagnetic wave which can penetrate many types of non-metallic materials. Then the methods of conducting surveillance through walls and detecting the presence of living persons behind barriers are discussed. The models of moving target are shown and a moving target detecting algorithm is performed on coherency technique. Finally the performance of the Ultra Wideband Through-wall Detecting Radar(UWB-TWDR) is validated by the experiments for penetrating an ordinary concrete wall.
