Spatio-temporal Changes Study of Land Use in Beijing Urban and Rural Areas Based on Remote Sensing and GIS

With the rapid development of urbanization,the land use structure has changed significantly in China.Timely and accurate grasp of the quantity,quality,distribution characteristics and changing trend of land resources plays a vital role on the sustainable development and planning of land resources.Under the support of RS and GIS technology,this paper chooses Shunyi District of Beijing as the research object,and adopts post-classification methods to analyze the land use change quantitatively and map the spatial distribution in 1999-2011.The results showed that t the area of cultivated land,forest land and water area decreased by 15.77%,27.85% and 75.82%,respectively,residents of mining land has increased by 18.49%; moreover,comprehensive land use dynamic degree reached 2.37%,the range of urban-rural district moved from west to east in 12 years.
