Evaluation of Available Transfer Capability Based on Improved Particle Swarm Optimization

Based on the research of available transfer capability(abr.ATC),this paper presents a new improved particle swarm optimization(abr.PSO) model that enhances the accuracy and validity of the ATC results.Firstly,pointing to the search characteristics of PSO a new self-adaptive adjustment strategy of inertia-weighted factor is proposed,which elevates the adaptability of PSO and accelerates convergence-speed of PSO all the more.Secondly,penalty function is also assigned dynamically according to the amount overrunning the upper-limit or lower-limit of inequality constraints during the calculating process.Finally,a case study of IEEE-30 bus system demonstrates the validity of strategies proposed in this paper.
