Available Transfer Capability Calculation Based on Interior Point Method

This paper proposes a novel and practical method for Available Transfer Capability(ATC) calculation in consideration of voltage stability constraint(VSC).Firstly,ATC calculation model is constructed by enforce a voltage stability constraint(VSC) in an Optimal Power Flow(OPF) model.Then,With interior point method to solve VSC-OPF model,ATC values corresponding to different?system load growth factors can be calculated.According to distance from the operating point to voltage collapse point on the solution trajectory of the system,the ATC value corresponding to different voltage stability margin can be calculated.Finally,simulation and analysis on IEEE-30 bus 3-area system validate the efficiency and rationality of the proposed method.
