Determination of cyanidin extracted from red cabbage by HPLC

A method for cyanidin determination extracted from red cabbage by HPLC was studied. Shiseido C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm) was used; Cyanidin was separated with mobile phase: methanol: methane acid-H2O (1: 10)=40: 60(v/v); The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1; The column temperature was ambient temperature; The UV detection wavelength was 530 nm. The results showed that the content of bluebonnet in the red cabbage extract was 0.11‰. The average recoveries of cyanidin were 104.5%, and the relative standard deviations of cyanidin were 0.5% (n=5). The method was rapid, accurate and with good reproducibility.
