Effect of AS concentration and pH on soybean genetic transformation

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of soybean has been accepted by most of researchers.Meanwhile,many factors affected the transformation efficiency.The two important factors,acetosyringone(AS) concentration and pH,were assessed in this research.The results showed that pH and acetosyringone concentration in the Agrobacterium infection and co-culture affected the transformation efficiency significantly.The appropriate pH was from 5.4 to 5.6 and the best acetosyringone concentration was 100 μmol·L-1.
