DETERMINATION OF TORQUE AMPLIFICATION FACTOR (T.A.F.) IN BLOOMING MILL-WITH BACKLASH
Owing to the backlash in the drive train of blooming mill, as steel entersthe rolls, the impact haappens. The oscillation would be amplified by such animpact energy with the result that the peak torque will exceed the averagerolling torque by a multiple factor, thus probably bring about the fatiguebreakdown on components of d ive train. This paper deals with the methodof determination of T.A.F. owing to the oscillation in the drive train bybacklash.
