Sensitivity Analysis of Rock Mechanical Parameters in Permanent Shiplock of Three Gorges Project

When the model for numerical analysis is specified, the validity of parameters will affect the results seriously. It is an effective way to decide the parameters in the model by back analysis using measured information. By checking the change of calculated displacement of a set of parameter obtained from the basic value with some degree of disturbance, the effect of different rock mechanical parameters in permanent shiplock of TGP to the displacement of the measurement points was analyzed. It is shown that the horizontal initial force, the elastic module, cohesion and friction of fresh and light weathered rock is of high sensitivity, it is also shown that the measurement points should be located at the position with large displacement in order to gain better analysis results for the parameter analysis.
