Development on Virtual Roundness Error Measuring Instrument

?A vivtual roundnesserror instrument was developed on a virtual instrument platform. LabWindows/CVI of American national instruments was used as software platform. Data acquisition card and equipment of laboratory were used as hardware platform. The instrument integrates the form and position error measuring technology with the virtual instrument technology. The roundness error is evaluated by least square circle method, minimum zone circle method, minimum circumscribed circle method and maximum inscribed circle method. The roundness error chart can display on screen in order to analyze the cause of roundness error. The cost of the instrument is low. The instrument is stable and reliable. The instrument function can be enlarged.
