YCW-A MICRO PULSATING PRESSURE CELL USED IN CLAY DYNAMIC TEST

Liu Li, Zhou Keji (Tsinghua University)
Pore pressures measured at the top and bottom of test specimen can not represent inside pressure in pores because of uneven distribution of water pressure in test piece. So properly measuring pore water pressure is still an unsolved problem. This paper proposes a method for measuring pore water pressure in dynamic triaxial test by YCW-A micro pulsating pressure cell, that is pressure can be measured both at the top and bottom parts and inside of the clay test specimen. Test results are presented and some suggestions are made.
