THE PRECISION OF ANGLE MEASUREMENT OF AUTOMATIC TARGET RECOGNITION SYSTEM

The function of the automatic target recognition (ATR) system of total station TCA2003 is introduced. The precision of angle measurement and the reliability of ATR are studied. For the test purpose, different test sites and test methods are adopted. The precision of angle measurement of ATR and the effect of environment on the quality of angle measurement are analyzed in detail. Besides, the reliability of ATR and traditional manual observation is compared, and some beneficial conclusions are obtained, which can be a guidance for the exploitation of the application scope of ATR.
