OPTIMAL OPERATION OF SERIES SMALL HYDROPOWER STATIONS BASED ON IMPROVED GENETIC ALGORITHM

A mathematical model of optimal operation of series small hydropower stations in Shafan and Jinlan is formed, and an improved genetic algorithm is adopted for optimal calculation. The algorithm is simple, the workload of calculation is small and the speed of convergence is fast. Based on the measured inflow of two small reservoirs, a simulation is done, which proves that optimal operation can produce much more economic benefit than routine operation, and GA is much more viable and efficient.
