Design and Application of Flood Forecast for Cascade Hydropower Stations in Yuanshui Basin

A flood forecast system is constructed for the cascade hydropower stations in the Yuanshui basin,and the combined operation of flood forecast and dispatching is realized at 5 hydropower stations in the basin.The flood forecast period is prolonged,helpful to the combined economic operation of the cascade hydropower stations.With the application of a digital hydrological model to the flood forecast of the Yuanshui basin since 2005,the forecast precision is raised to standard A,which is helpful to flood control.
