The Result Analyses of the Artificial Modification in the Ionosphere Observed with GPS Receivers During XX-5A Experiments

The ionospheric total electron constent and its variation is observed by using GPS double-frequency receiver. During XX-5A experiments, the active modification of the ionosphere resulted by rocket exhaust was monitored with GPS receiver. The observation results indicated that the rocket exhaust produced an ionospheric hole. The ionospheric hole directly influences on the method of the ionospheric refractive correction for rocket orbit, and farther show that the real-time ionospheric measurement is necessary.
