On the stealth effect of non-uniform plasma covered radar targets

The equations of piecewise linear recursive convolution (PLRC) using finite difference time domain(FDTD) method for isotropic plasma were presented. The PLRC FD 2TD method is first used to simulate the interaction of electromagnetic wave with unmagnetized plasma. Using a simplified one dimension model, the stealth effect of non uniform plasma covered radar targets is studied both in time domain and the frequency domain. Numerical results indicate that plasma cover can greatly reduce the echo energy of radar targets.
