Passive microwave remote sensing for soil moisture retrieval based on bi-spectrum scattering model

In this paper, the emissivity of bare soil surface is calculated on the basis of bi-spectrum scattering model of randomly rough surface. An inversion scheme for bare soil surface moisture is presented by using artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm. The simulation results show that the soil moisture information can be retrieved by empolying ANN with appropriate input data set.
