Scattering of electromagnetic wave by charged dust in polar mesopause

Polar Mesosphere Summer Echoes(PMSE)are very strong radar echoes near the polar mesopause at local summer. A mass of charged dust particles exist in the mesopause of the Earth, the differential scattering cross section is used to explain strong echoes with the theory of dusty plasma. Comparing the relations published in other paper between the backscattering cross section per unit volume and work frequency, the differential scattering cross section is consist with the backscattering cross section per unit volume,which show the results calculated in dusty plasma is consist with experimentally statistical results.
