Interception of rainfall by forest is an important part of forest's hydrological function. Forest not onlv decreases rainfall but also buffers the striking of raindrop on forest ground, decreases surface current and diminishes flooding. A better understanding of redistri-bution of rainfall in forest is a scientific bar rational use of forest resources, determination of reasonable forest cutting and managing system, Afforestation is an effective measure to preserve water and soil and maintain natural ecological balance.
