STUDY ON THE LAW WITH SOLAR ENERGY IN :DIFFERENT COMMUNITY STRUCTURES OF ARTIFICIAL FOREST OF DAHURIAN LARCH

This article is based on the experiments with different structures of artificial dahurian iarch forest planted in 1958 at the artificial wood station on the Forest Farm of Maoer Mountains attatched too ur university making a further discussion on the law of using solar energy in different structure stands.1) In order to raise the rate of using solar energy in the artificial dahurian larch stand structure, to produce organic substance to the maximum, and to turn sunns energy into chemical, we must cultivate dahurian larch forests with a structure of multi-storied community. The key of a stand is whether the covering of tree stories is suitable; for this the better measure is to use the efficient belt of a velt structure(2—4 row-type).According to the theory of light radiation model in multi storied space type, with a series of reasoning, the covering of tree storey will get the highest efficiency(70—50%) of light taken in.2) An optical reflection space is formed between tree storey andground cover in the stand. Using the law of light radiation reflection back and forth creates a more efficient reflection space to raise the light efficiency.3)Depending on the formulas of I_1=a/2+hctgθ and I_2=a/2+hctgθ, ch- oose the best width of "efficient belt" in the range of 1_2≤1≤1_2. Inorder to cultivate multi-storied mixed forests and forests combined with crops,herbs and fuel wood, to arrange reasonably and to use more efficient time, space, here a theoretical accordance is put forward.4) Trees on both sides of the "efficient belt" grow well as a result of getting sunlight, and taking in light energy much better than inner rows, so it gives a good chance for first-class wood. to appear. This is a technical measure in raising the yield per unit area, in the meantime it is also a good method in cultivating coniferous forests mixed with broad-leaved trees in multi-storied stand.
