It is a very important problem that the anlysis and evaluation of the bearing ability of the highway bridge in the engineering fields. Basing on much information of the bridge investigation and the test and combining them with the technical and real working condition, this paper has carried on the analysis and evaluation about the bearing ability of the bridge from two aspects of calculation and the load test in the bridge. The paper has put for ward the identification coefficient K of the bearing ability as the evaluation standard in the bearing ability of the bridge structure. The identification coefficient K has the precise physical concept and the specific applied limit, and it has the greater applied value and the economic benefit for the comprehensive evaluation of many highway bridges in forest zones.
