Daily Rhythm of Resin Exuding for Yunnan Pine Tree (Pinus yunnanensis L.)

Ye Hui, Zhang Hongrui, Li ao Zhouyu(Department of Biology, Yunnan University)The resin exuding of Yunnan pine tree (Pinus yunnanensis L.) after bored ove r a whole day was studied. The result showed that the resin exuding of Yunnan pi ne tree went up with the increase of illumination intensity and temperature of e nvironment. Bored at 9:00 AM, the resin exuding reached to maximum (1.01 mL) at the first four hours after bored, and the resin exuding decreased to less than the half of the former (0.36 mL) at the following four hours. The results of re sin exuding at different periods of time indicated that the resin exuding reache d to maximum at 0.60 mL per four hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
