Vegetation Restoring of Desert Land in Industrial Mining Area

Through investigation and experiment, the soil conditions of various industrial mining areas in Jixi were divided into 7 kinds of types. Aiming at different site types, the soil physical and chemical properties were analyzed and the regulation of natural vegetation restoring was also studied. The result indicated that the soil water content, volume weight and porosity of each type were lower, the contents of rapid available nitrogen and phosphorus were less, and the content of rapid available kalium was relatively more. The quantity and the kinds of the vegetation on the desert land of industrial mining area were less, but those on the waste rock mountain had an increasing tendency along with the age of waste rock mountain. Meanwhile the recovery schemes to different soil conditions were put forward, and the experiment of vegetation restoring was implemented and ideal result was obtained in the same year.
