Song Liwen, Ren Bingzhong(Northeast Normal University, Changchun 130024, P. R. China); Sun Shouhui, Zhang Xiaojun(Jilin Provincial Academy of Forestry Sciences); Zhang Kaipeng(Jingyuetan Forest Farm of Changchun); Gao Changqi(Jilin Provincial Academy of Forestry Sciences)
For further development of the methods of controlling and monitoring the beetle with semiochemicals, field trapping tests were conducted in Jingyuetan Forest Farm of Changchun, and the trapping efficacy of some semiochemicals to pine shoot beetle, Tomicus piniperda, was tested by means of artificial aggregation semiochemical lures and Lindgren funnel traps. The results demonstrate that four tested α-pinene isomers are attractive to pine shoot beetle, in which (5%+/95%-) α-pinene is the most attractive. Meanwhile, trapping efficacy of three kinds of secondary components, i.e., nonanal, myrtenol and trans-verbenol, was investigated, which suggested that the combination of (5%+/95%-) α-pinene, nonanal and trans-verbenol has the significantly attractive activity compared with the others.
