The Thermal Effect in Naimanqi, Inner Mongolia by Remote Sensing

Ning Bo, Gong Wenfeng, Fan Wenyi(Northeast Forestry University, Harbin 150040, P. R. China); Kong Da(Heilongjiang University)  
TM data for Naimanqi was proofed by atmospherical correction and geometric correction. Land sat TM3 and Land sat TM4 were used to calculate the vegetation index (NDVI), and the vegetation condition of this area was analyzed especially from the angle of vegetation cover. Land sat TM6 thermal infrared remote sensing data quantitatively retrieved the land surface temperature. The difference of heat distribution and the formative reason were analyzed, and the linear correlation between NDVI and practical land surface temperature was set up. Result showed that the difference of heat distribution in this area was remarkable; the land surface temperature retrieved by the satellite data accorded with the practical situation; the correlation between land surface temperature and NDVI was strongly negative.
