Changes in Diversity of Tree Germplasm Resources in Different Areas in Cangzhou City,Hebei Province

Five diversity indexes,including richness index,Shannon-Weiner index,Simpson index,Pielou evenness index,and Alatalo evenness index,were used to analyze diversity of forest resources in littoral zone,transition zone,and hinterland zone in Cangzhou City,Hebei Province. Results showed that the changing tendencies of Shannon-Weiner index and Simpson index were approximately similar in the littoral zone,transition zone,and hinterland zone. The economic forest in the hinterland zone and the timber forest in the littoral zone exhibited the highest Shannon-Weiner index and Simpson index,and the two indexes of the economic forest together with the timber forest were approximately equal in the littoral zone and hinterland zone. The highest richness index was found in the transition zone,and then followed by hinterland zone and littoral zone in order. The evenness index of the forest resources in Cangzhou was lower (less than 0.6),and Populus sp.,Salix sp.,Ulmus sp.,Fraxinus chinensis,and Ziziphus sp. accounted for over 90 percent of the total.
