Pyrolysis Characteristics of Larch Wood

A number of experiments were conducted to study the pyrolysis characteristics of larch xylem and larch bark at different heating rates and particle sizes by thermogravimetric analyzer.Results showed that TG (thermogravimetry) and DTG (derivative thermogravimetry) curves moved slightly towards higher temperature with the increase of heating rate,while the main pyrolysis area widened.DTG peak temperature increased and the DTG peak value decreased with particle size increasing.DTG peak values of larch bark and larch xylem were-0.0048 and-0.0100,respectively.The pyrolysis conversion rate of larch xylem was higher than that of larch bark.
