Scale cutting is tile main method used in the artificial propagation of Lilium dauricum. The scales selected for cutting are related to their weight.but irrelevent to their position in bulbs.Generally.good results are obtained when frech scales heavier than 0.2g are selected for cutting.A simple and convenient method of cutting is to mix the scales and sand or humus(leaf)soil in a ratio of 1:2(or greater than 1:2)and to put them in plastic bags, then the bags are sealed in order to maintain the moisture content at about 30%. The intended temperature was 10~30℃.with a constant temperature at 25℃ as the best.15~20℃ as the next. The best season of cutting is spring.
