The Development of the Trade and Economic Relations between China and North Korea and the Progressive Direction

Xu Wenji
The geological position of North Korea decides the importance of the trade relation of China and North Korea in the foreign trade of North Korea. The year of 2002 is an important year for North Korea in the economic field with several key plans coming out, including the plan of "order adjusting" and "setting up the special administrative zone of Xin Yi Zhou", which means the North Korea is opening up to the outside world in its own way in some degree. China's influence on North Korea's economy has been increased and the economic cooperation in Northeast Asia Area has been promoted in depth. North Korea's centralizing its goal in economic development is a good thing to the surrounding countries and those countries should help North Korea in its economic development based on the regional interests.
