Recursive Design for Nonlinear Systems

(Zhang Youan), (LiangGuoqiang),(Department of Automatic Control,NAEA, Yantai 264001).(Guan Xinping),(The College of Electrical Engineering, Yanshan University,Qinhuangdao 066004).  
Recursive designs, including backsteeping, forwarding and interlacing, for nonlinear systems, are surveyed, some important concepts and ideas of the designs are elaborated, the main directions for future research are pointed out, and this paper is also intended to be of tutorial value for theoretical research and applications in this field.
