Study on TiAlN coated cemented carbide tool

WEI Sha-sha 1 , WU Chun-du 2 (1. College of Engineering Technical, Jimei University, Xiamen, Fujian 361021, China; 2. Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu 212013)  
TiAlN coated cemented carbide is a new style material. It is superior to uncoated cemented carbide on cutting perform- ance. In numeroustests, the experiments weredesigned to studytool life of TiAlN coated cementedcarbide compared with uncoated cemented carbide. Results imply that TiAlN coated cemented carbide tool has many advantages over uncoated one, such as high wear resistance and much longer lifetime.
