A pilot study on coal gasification wastewater treatment by A-O-coagulation-immobilized biological activated carbon(IBAC)combined process

Coal gasification wastewater was treated by A-O-coagulation-immobilized biological activated carbon(IBAC)combined process.The results showed that the effluent COD_(Cr), was less than 150 mg/L, NH~+_4-N was less than 25 mg/L, phenols was less than 20 mg/L and the value of volatile phenol was ranged of 0.053~0.809 mg/L when the influent COD_(Cr)was below 2500 mg/L, NH~+_4- N was below 150 mg/L, phenols was below 600 mg/L and volatile phenol was below 100 mg/L.This process could obtain that COD_(Cr)removal efficiency is more than 90%, volatile phenol removal efficiency is more than 95% and NI~+_4-N removal efficiency is more than 80%.
