Visual analysis of multi-dimensional electromagnetic situation using interactive parallel coordinates

Considering that it is difficult for traditional analysis methods to fast-perceive the multi-dimensional battlefield electromagnetic situation comprehensively, the visual analysis method linking 3D battlefield space with interactive parallel coordinates is proposed. The interactive query method of parallel coordinates is improved. The battlefield electromagnetic situation elements are extracted to be quantitatively mapped to parallel coordinates for multi-dimensional display. With parallel coordinates and 3D scene linkage, visually analyzing electromagnetic situation from different angles is achieved. And the time dimension is introduced to display the dynamic change trend of electromagnetic situation. The experimental results show that the visual analysis of multi-dimensional electromagnetic situation using interactive parallel coordinates method can effectively accelerate the electromagnetic situation perception process, which is suitable to be applied to command combats in the complex electromagnetic environment.
