Analysis and modeling of nonuniformity characteristics of tractive Li-ion batteries

The nonuniformity characteristics of Li-ion pack needed quantitatively to be studied before they were used as EV's energy system in the large scale.The statistics rule of battery pack service voltage nonuniformity was studied.The static SOC nonuniformity degree was studied quantitatively.Two kinds of battery module made with cathode materials(LiFePO4 and LiMn2O4) were experimental object;their voltage nonuniformity in dynamic work was studied preliminarily.The concept of "capacity fade ratio" was developed and the influence of current temperature on it was discussed.Factors influencing on battery nonuniformity were concluded and the controlling methods to improve its uniformity were presented.
