PONDER ON METHODOLOGY OF STRATIGRAPHY ACCORDING TO THE RECENT HEARTENING PROGRESS ON STRATIGRAPHY OF OUR COUNTRY

The Lopingian Series has been used as a globally correlative criterion for the upperest series of the Permian in chronostratigraphic system, which is an important result of the stratigraphical study in our country made by Mr. Jin Yu gan and his collaborators. Almost at similar time, on the basis of comprehensively systematic study in great detail, the first GSSP (Golden Spike) in our country for the base of Ordovician Darriwilian Stage was set up by Mr. Chen Xu and his collaborators in Huangnitang, Changshan of Zhejiang Province. These are two important achievements in stratigraphy in the last century. From the detail discription of stratigraphic section and the overally systematic fruits of these two achievments, the ponder on stratigraphical methodology is naturally induced, so some problems such as time correlation of strata, and other problems that are concluded too early are commented indispensably.
