THE LIMITATION OF THE PERMIAN Monodiexodina OF EASTERN KUNLUN UPON THE DETERMINATION OF THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE GONDWANA

The Permian Monodiexodina-bearing rocks in the Muzitage of eastern Kunlun Mountain are made up of turbidity current and outpouring, that is allochthonous deposit. Thus, using Monodiexodina to determine the northern boundary of the Gondwana. The associated biological combination includes warm-loving Misellina fauna, belonging to the Cathaysian-Tethys biogeographically subarea. The medium-thick-bedded bioclastic limestone intercalated with coral-reef limestone in the autochthonous upper part contains abundant warm-loving fauna including Pseudoschwagerina, Misellina minor, and Parafusulina australis. Therefore, there is no enough evidence to shift the northern boundary of the Gondwana to the Muzitage area.
