MICROFACIES AND PALAEOENVIRONMENT ANALYSES OF THE MIDDLE—UPPER MEMBER OF THE NANLINGHU FORMATION(LOWER TRIASSIC),CHAOHU,ANHUI PROVINCE

On the basis of the field and thin section observations,the microfacies and paleoenvironments of the middle—upper member of the Triassic Nanlinghu Formation at the Majiashan section,Chaohu,Anhui Province,were analyzed.Through the observation of 670 petrographic thin sections,six microfacies were recognized:MF1argillaceous micritic limestone;MF2laminated micritic limestone;MF3bioclastic micritic limestone;MF4intraclastic micritic limestone; MF5 bioclastic nodular limestone; MF6 mudstone(shale).The section represents a transition from a deep basinal environment to an outer ramp environment,indicating an overall regression trend in the Spatian age in this region.
