The function of bloods biochemical indexes as parameters in poultry breeding

The relationships between blood biochemical indexes and egg-laying performance and meat production performance in poultry are discussed. The application of blood biochemical indexes in breeding new strains with crossbreeding are also analyzed. And some factors that cause differences in poultry′s blood biochemical indexes, such as nutrition, environment, disease and heredity etc. , are described. It is believed that, with the research development and data enrichment in this field, blood biochemical indexes, will become complementarities for general breeding and will brings a great breakthrough for poultry breeding.
