A C8051F020-based Ultrasonic Ranging System

For level measurement of ultrasonic instruments,a hardware circuit is usually used to search the echo peak; consequently,the accuracy is difficult to improve. In this study,a software method is developed to search echo peak,by which the echo arrival time can be precisely determined,thus the accuracy of the instrument can greatly improved and the blind area reduced. Meanwhile,a logarithmic conversion circuit is used and the scope of echo signal processing is expanded,thereby the full-range accuracy of the instrument is consistent.
