Learning outlook and knowledge theory at the age of web-based education

It is a cardinal issue for efficient on-line education to realize comprehensively the learning essentials in web-based and information society, to identify the relationship of learning and technology, establish learning outlook and knowledge theory adapted to the times requirements of web-based education. The author in this article first analyzed the learning outlook in web-based education times from the learning theories changes. He took the view that the learning outlook of constructivism should become theoretical basis to carry out web-based education. From the viewpoint of constructivism theory, he discussed the relationship between teachers and students in the time of web-based education, and the relationship between technology and learning in web-based educational environment. The author pointed out that both teachers and students should identify the learning essentials in the time of web-based education. Information can not be equal to knowledge. Knowledge comes from the experiences of human beings. Therefore, knowledge can be constructed through internal and external experiences on the part of the students and their subjective activities.
