Consideration of improving operation quality for distance teaching platform

Distance teaching platform is the arena for teachers and students in distance teaching. Whether the function disposition of distance teaching platform is reasonable, whether it goes smoothly, whether teachers can make full use of the platform to conduct tutorials and direct learning are all important factors, which might affect distance teaching quality. The author has taken the teachers and students in Huzhou RTVU as research target. There are 719 students investigated of their on-line learning conditions and their demands. Meanwhile, teaching resources produced by teachers of Huzhou RTVU and uploaded on Huzhou RTVU On-line Platform for the past two semesters have been calculated. On the basis of that, the author has made analysis of the three main reasons for not good operation of the platform: the function disposition and used technology of the distance teaching platform has to be perfected; the consciousness of the teachers for distance teaching and application for on-line technology has to be enhanced; the supervision for operation of distance teaching platform and encouraging mechanism has to be improved. In the light of the three respects, the author proposed three items of measures to increase the quality of operation for distance teaching platform.
