Microdetermination of copper in copper electroplating effluent by spectrophotometry

Micro copper in copper plating effluent was determined by spectrophotometry with chloroform as extracting agent and PAN as chromogenic agent. Measuring wave length was selected, the effect of acidity, amount of extracting agent and oscillating time on extraction rate was studied, effect of interfering elements and elimination thereof were discussed. This method has high accuracy and precision, and is applicable to determination of copper plating effluent with copper content between 0 01~1 00 μg/mL.
