Research progress on formation process of micro arc oxidation ceramic coatings on magnesium alloy

The effects of the solution components and process conditions on the surface morphology, cross-section morphology and phrase composition of micro arc oxidation ceramic coatings on magnesium alloy were summarized. The formation mechanism of micro arc oxidation ceramic coatings on magnesium alloy was reviewed based on the variation law of voltage and coating thickness.
