Optimization of Maximum Range for Boost-glide Missile

A method that boost and glide phase were optimized as a whole,was proposed by which the range of boost-glide missile was optimized.The equations of motion and optimization model for the boost-glide trajectory were presented.The sequential quadratic programming algorithm was used to solve the optimization problem.The maximum range of the boost-glide missile with the constraints of angle-of-attack,the constraints of overload,the constraints in separation point,and the constraints of landing,was simulated.The result shows that the maximum range of boost-glide missile is more than that of the ballistic missile evidently,and the fluctuation is helpful to increase range and break defense of enemy.
