复方绞股蓝益智颗粒急性毒性与慢性毒性实验研究

Objective In this paper, to investigate the safety of CJG to provide theoretical support and safety assurance for its clinical and general applications as CJG is a new generation of safe and healthy food. Methods In the acute toxicological test, the mice received orally by gavage the maximum tolerated oral dose of CJG of more than 30000 mg·kg-1·d-1, and clinical symptoms and survival for 14 days post administration were observed. In subchronic toxicological test, rats received by gavage of doses of 3333 mg·kg-1·d-1, 5000 mg·kg-1·d-1, 6667 mg·kg-1·d-1 of CJG for 30 days for observing CJG’s effects on growth and development, abnormal hematological, biochemical, and histopathological changes. Results In the acute toxicity test, no death or clinical signs were found in mice. In the subchronic study, no death or clinical signs, or abnormal hematological, biochemical and histopathological changes were found in rats after receiving, by gavage 3333 mg·kg-1·d-1, 5000 mg·kg-1·d-1, 6667 mg·kg-1·d-1 of CJG for 30 days. Conclusion The results of the toxicology test indicated that CJG may be safely used as a health food.
