DETERMINANIING STRESS AXIS OF FAULT ACTIVITY AND STRESS FIELD OF CAPITAL CIRCLE

The formula calculating the direction of horizontal main stress about fault activity has been given by fault deformation data on the basis of stress-strain relation. Having used the deformation data of seismic faults for Xingtai, Haicheng and earthquake, their main stress direction has been obtained, respectively, The results are consistent with their earthquake focal mechanism. The horizontal main stress axises of capital circle area are also calculated by the data of crossing fault. The results show that superior direction of main stress is 50°~70°, and there exists no obvious change for ten years.
