A Study of the Synergistic Effect of Ultrasound and Silver Mediated Electrochemical Oxidation Destruction of Organic Waste

A study using a batch mode of the synergistic effect of ultrasound and Ag/MEO in destruction of organic waste was introduced. The results of tests indicate that the maximum current efficiency of almost all tests is in the range of 100%～140%,higher than theoretical maximum value(100%).It can be inferred the synergistic effect of Ag/MEO and ultrasound is remarkable.However,the variation in ultrasound intensity has less effect on current efficiency in the first treatment,while effect is remarkable only with ultrasound wave but without Ag2+ in the second treatment.
