Protective effects of ginsenoside Rg_1, Re on cultured hippocampal and cortex neurons injury induced by β-amyloid protein

Objective: To study protective effects of ginsenoside Rg 1, Re on cultured cortex and hippocampal neurons injury induced by β amyloid protein (β AP). Methods: Lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) releasing assay was applied for measurement of the change of neuron cell injury. Results: After incubated with β AP (0.4 μmol/L) for 12 h, the releasing of LDH was significantly increased. Ginsenoside Rg 1 and Re 10, 20 μmol/L decreased releasing of LDH. Conclusion: Ginsenoside Rg 1, Re have protective effects on cultured cortex and hippocampal neurons injury induced by β AP. [
