Effects of icarrin on function of murine peritoneal macrophages

Effects of icarrin(ICA)on the function of murine macrophages were investigated in ICR mice experiment.The results showed that ICA 0.01￣1 μ/ml could significantly augment M phagocytic activity.The M phagocytic activity was measured by the quantity of phagocytic neutrol red.We also found that ICA(0.001￣10 μg/ml) could dose-dependently increase the production of interleukin-1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) from LPS(10 μg/ml) treated M.These results suggest that ICA can activate M and may regulate murine immune functions.
