Effect of saikosapoind on antiglomerulus basement membrane nephritis

Objective: To investigate the therapeutical effect of saikosapoind(SSd) on antiglomerulus basement membrane(GBM) nephritis in rat. Methods: Therapeutical effect of SSd on antiGBM nephritis in rat was observed in the heterologous and autologous phases. Results: SSd markedly reduced urine protein and blood lipid level, raised serum ACTH and corticosterone level. Meanwhile,immunofunction of RBC, renal glucocorticoid receptor(GR) and activity of reactive oxygen scavenger increased in rats with antiGBM nephritis, which were more significant in the heterologous phase. Conclusion: SSd has a good therapeutical effect on antiGBM nephritis in rat.The mechanism might be the enhanced antiinflammatory action and immunosuppression of GCGR system by improving HPA axis.Moreover,the elevated RBC immunofunction, RO scanvenger activity and ameliorated abnormal lipid metabolism might be related.
