HOU Yanyan;CHAI Junjie; ZUO Xinping, et al (Xinjiang Institute for Endemic Disease Control and Research,National Hydatid Disease Centre of China, Urumqi, China 830002)JIANG Wei; ZHANG Langying(Xinjiang Institute for Endemic Disease Controland Research, Urumqi, China 830002)
Lagurus lagurus were given experimental intraperitoneal inoculation by promastigotes of L. infantum in different doses. The results showed that there was no relationship between the change of body and liver weights and the numbers, except for spleen of the animals. The more amount of premastigotes were inoculated, the more parasite loads were observed in the livers. It suggested that the Lagurus lagurus was so sensitive to Leishmania that it would be an excellent animal model for immunological research of leishmaniasis.
